The Spongebob Squarepants Show – The Best Show On TV For Your Children

Reviewed as the most popular American animation series over the last ten years, SpongeBob SquarePants show  has made a history in entertainment. The father of the characters is a former marine biologist, Stephen Hillenburg who  created the show through the company he owned: United Plankton Pictures. The show can be watched on Nicktoons Network, and the awards have not been few for this  production. The pilot episode of SpongeBob SquarePants show was launched on May 1, 1999, and several  episodes followed immediately that year with the series gaining more and more in popularity and audience ratings.

There is no continuity between the episodes in SpongeBob  SquarePants show, which is a great advantage for anyone to watch it without having to refer back  to previous contexts and events. Although many characters suffer apparently irreparable accidents, they always get back to normal. Eugene Krabs’ restaurant in Bikini bottom gets destroyed several times, and every  time it seems like it’s the end. Lots of these apparently horrific events blamed  on SpongeBob’s mishaps. The great part of this cartoon series is that adults and children can watch it alike: the episodes often contain subtleties that reflect the absurdity of life  for instance, which will escape the understanding of young watchers.

One of the elements that distinguishes SpongeBob SquarePants show from other similar productions of the  Nickelodeon network is the contribution of lots of independent musicians to  the soundtrack of the series. Flaming Lips, Wilco or Twisted  Sister are just a few names here, but David Bowie for instance played as a special guest in the Atlantis SquarePantis  episode in November 2007. This episode had the largest level of audience in the entire  history of the SpongeBob SquarePants show. Then, another connection between the series and the music world was at the initiative of Metallica consisting in the release of t-shirts featuring  Patrick and SpongeBob playing live with the  group members.

With the increased popularity of the show in the United States  and in other parts of the world MTV started broadcasting it, this time addressing the teenage audience-group  category. Certain lines from the series became part of slang, as it is the case with the famous quote from Mid-Life Crustacean: It’s gonna rock! The quote was taken over by rock radio stations and soon entered the language of many rock fans and  adolescents. SpongeBob SquarePants show has  definitely made history, and it can surely make one laugh heartily on any episode.
